I've had several modest size plumbing jobs at my home -- install a new gas cooktop, change some faucets, and the like. Booked online or left a phone message on the weekend, got a call promptly on Monday. If the job required special skills, then a new booking was made and completed successfully. Wilf and Jonathan ... if I got the name right... were good at solving problems and providing advice to improve the situation.

We'd had problems with our furnace boiler for a few years; it got repaired by others, but Laird's service personnel were the first to advise on changes to ventilation, etc. to help prevent repetition of the problem. Excellent service and a reasonable cost.

Complete quoted a reasonable price on a new air handler, which is in a difficult location in our house. The work was done one time and works great!

I found Caplan's website, which promised a good selection of gas cooktops. It was worth the one-hour drive to find exactly what was promised. The young woman that greeted us with an offer of water or coffee was most gracious; she then introduced us to Debbie, who advised on the best options. When I returned with sister-in-law in tow (ah, family) Debbie was not there and the gentlemen at the desk seemed more concerned with their computers than us, but they eventually lined us up with Leonard who (crediting the purchase to Debbie) was most helpful. I had never heard of Dacor, but their 36 inch Renaissance cooktop with five burners is marvelous. Thanks!
